In Visakhapatnam, a significant development unfolded as the CSR block of King George Hospital (KGH) welcomed a 120-KW solar power plant.

This remarkable endeavor is a result of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AMNS)-Vizag Asset's commitment to corporate social responsibility through their 'Project Ujwala,' with a substantial investment of Rs 50 lakh. The newly installed solar plant is expected to generate an impressive 16,000 to 18,000 units of electricity per month.

The inauguration of this eco-friendly facility was graced by the presence of several distinguished individuals, including the district collector, A Mallikarjuna, the superintendent of King George Hospital, P Ashok Kumar, the executive director of AMNS India Ltd-Vizag Asset, M Ravindranath, and the head of HR and Admin, D S Varma, alongside numerous esteemed doctors and professionals.

The auspicious occasion chosen for the inauguration of the solar plant was 'International Radiology Day,' adding a symbolic touch to the initiative.

AMNS India Ltd-Vizag Asset, as part of its broader CSR vision, is set to further extend its solar power impact by installing a 70-KW solar facility at the government Victoria Hospital, commonly known as Gosha Hospital, with an investment of Rs 30 lakh.

This undertaking not only promotes sustainability but also underscores the company's commitment to the well-being of the community and the environment.
