Parvatipuram Beautification Initiative Launched as "Swaccha Sundara Parvatipuram"
Visakhapatnam: The district administration has launched a new initiative, "Swaccha Sundara Parvatipuram" (Clean and Beautiful Parvatipuram), focusing on enhancing the town’s sanitation and aesthetic appeal.
District Collector A. Shyam Prasad held a meeting with officials, including District Educational Officer Gara Pagadalamma, Women and Child Welfare Officer M.N. Rani, and local drawing and craft teachers, to outline the project’s objectives.
The beautification efforts have already started at the collectorate, where artistic installations now brighten up the space.
The initiative aims to convert poorly maintained areas into attractive public spaces. Local artists will create murals that address social issues and celebrate the region's cultural heritage, using sustainable materials like recycled plastic, bamboo, and used tires.
In addition, Anganwadi centers across the district will undergo beautification to create welcoming environments for children, promoting better attendance and fostering a greater interest in early education. Plans for a new entrance arch to symbolize the town's transformation are also in progress.
