POSTER LAUNCH BY ROHIT MEMORIAL TRUST FOR VIZAG’S FIRST INTERNATIONAL MUSICAL SHOW

Vizag is staging its First International Music Show, Rolling Back the Years – the Block Buster musical, in the Park Hotel on Saturday, February 18th, 2023 at 7 pm.  The Rohit Memorial Trust is going to stage this show as its annual fund raiser, ROHIT ROCKS, for the cancer related activities of the Trust. The poster for this show was launched on Monday, 30th January, 2023, by Mr. Sambasiva Rao, Chairman of Age Care Foundation, Ms. Jija Valsraj, President VCCI Women’s Wing and Dr. A Sugandhi, Medical Director and Trustee, AS Raja Voluntary Blood Bank. The function will be attended by various other dignitaries.

ROLLING BACK THE YEARS is a Blockbuster musical coming to India in February 2023 for a series of shows in other cities. This high energy show covers the music of the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s of Elton John, ABBA, Mo Town Inc., Diana Ross, Michael Bubble, Frank Sinatra and more. It is a stunning show with an international cast of 7 singers and dancers which will definitely leave the audience spell bound. This ultimate feel good show has raised eyebrows with 37 stunning and successful performances around the UK in the year 2022. What with great harmonies, fabulous choreography and over a 100 costume changes, this will be an evening to remember.

The Trust is kick-starting its new initiatives by signing a MOU with the AS Raja Voluntary Blood Bank and a few other agencies in supporting the United Nations plea for more blood for paediatric cancer patients, and plans to launch the B POSITIVE initiative. It is also planned to extend support and tie up with the St. Judes India ChildCare Centres in association with the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (A Unit of the Tata Memorial Centre - Mumbai).  The Trust also intends to upscale its Medical Clowning activities (for palliation) to the next level.

The last edition of Rohit Rocks had an amazing response, when the queen of Bollywood, Alka Yagnik, thrilled the audiences. Earlier shows featured Sugandha Mishra, Parikrama – the Band and other leading artists.

The Rohit Memorial Trust enters 15 years of our service this year and is grateful to be recognised for Cancer Counselling and Awareness events across the country. The Trust solicits sponsors / partners/ collaborations for the event. Donor passes are also available in various denominations. It may be noted that all donations are exempt @ 50% under Section 80G of the IT Act. Please call 9348623225 or 9949627222 for any clarifications.
