Successful Completion of Shaft Turning Trials by HSL on INS Nistar

Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Shipyard Ltd (HSL) has achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing internal shaft turning trials on INS Nistar, the diving support vessel (VC 11190), in the presence of Warship Overseeing Teams (WOT).

HSL proudly stated in a press release that achieving shaft turning trials, powered by the ship's engines through the gearbox, within one year of the ship's launch, especially for a first-of-its-class vessel, is a remarkable accomplishment.

This achievement reflects a remarkable transformation for HSL, highlighting the collaborative efforts of the Navy and the timely supply of indigenous products by the MSME sector.

HSL expressed its gratitude for the pivotal role played by the Navy and the invaluable contributions of the MSME sector in making this achievement possible.
