Visakhapatnam, India: The legal landscape in Visakhapatnam received a significant boost with the inauguration of the Ten Courts Building Complex on Sunday.

Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, presided over the inauguration ceremony and emphasized the importance of this new facility in meeting the growing demands of the legal system.

In his address, Chief Justice Thakur acknowledged that as the region experiences growth, the graph of litigation is also expected to rise. Consequently, he stressed the need for a cadre of qualified and competent advocates to handle the burgeoning caseload.

He commended the concerted efforts of administrative judges and other stakeholders in bringing the complex to fruition, despite procedural hurdles.

Visakhapatnam, a city known for its rich legal heritage, has produced notable legal luminaries such as Sastry and DV Subba Rao. Chief Justice Thakur noted that the city's cosmopolitan character, forged through the amalgamation of diverse cultures, has enabled it to maintain a harmonious balance.

He further highlighted Visakhapatnam's evolution from establishing marine trade routes with the Middle East to becoming a thriving commercial hub for the entire state.

Recognizing the rapid growth in the region, Chief Justice Thakur emphasized the importance of infrastructure development.

He revealed plans for future projects, including the introduction of air conditioning in Andhra Pradesh's courts, to enhance the overall judicial experience.

The Ten Courts Building Complex, a monumental achievement, was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 26 crore. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of distinguished AP High Court Judges, including Justice DVSS Somayajulu, Justice U Durga Prasad Rao, Justice Ch. Manavendranath Roy, and Justice Ravi Cheemalapati, as well as members of the Visakhapatnam Bar Association.

With the inauguration of this modern and well-equipped complex, Visakhapatnam's legal community is poised to meet the challenges of the future, ensuring that justice is served efficiently and effectively in this dynamic region.
