Visakhapatnam: Prudhvi Tej Immadi, CMD of Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL), announced that farmers seeking new agricultural electricity connections can now call the toll-free number 1912 to access the service.

This service is available to consumers in the Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, and Eluru circles. 

The registration process for new connections is ongoing through mee-seva kendras and village/ward secretariats. However, to address issues farmers face when uploading documents during registration, the call center service has been introduced.

Farmers are advised to have the following details ready when calling 1912:
- Aadhaar card number
- Registered mobile number
- Pattadar passbook number
- Survey number
- WALTA certificate number (form III)
- Caste certificate (for SC/ST users)

CMD Prudhvi Tej Immadi emphasized that this new facility eliminates the need for farmers to visit village/ward secretariats and mee-seva offices, ensuring they receive quality services in a transparent manner. He encouraged all farmers in need of agricultural electricity connections to utilize this convenient service.
