Visakhapatnam Enforces Strict Helmet Rule: ₹1,000 Fine and Licence Suspension



Two-wheeler riders in Visakhapatnam, beware: driving without a helmet will now cost you ₹1,000 and a three-month licence suspension. 

Stringent Enforcement Announced:

The Road Transport Authorities (RTA) have issued a stern reminder about the Motor Vehicles Act, specifically Section 194D. According to Deputy Transport Commissioner, the city will see rigorous checks to enforce this rule.

 


Penalties for Non-Compliance:

If you're caught riding without a helmet, be prepared to pay a hefty fine of ₹1,000 and face a three-month suspension of your driving licence. This strict enforcement aims to enhance road safety and compliance among two-wheeler riders.
