Visakhapatnam Port Authority Breaks Records with 80 MMTPA Cargo Handling

Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has reached a significant milestone by exceeding 80 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) in cargo handling just days before the conclusion of the 2023-24 financial year.
This remarkable achievement surpasses the previous record of 73.75 MMTPA set in the preceding financial year, showcasing the continuous growth and efficiency of the VPA.
Notably, the Visakha Container Terminal (VCT) reported a substantial 28% increase in container volumes, with approximately 665,000 TEUs (Ten Equivalent Units) handled during the period, further contributing to the port's success and significance in the region's maritime industry.
