In an impressive achievement, the division recorded a remarkable jump in scrap sales, totaling Rs 161.53 crore, marking a substantial increase of 71.5% over the previous year's earnings.

This accomplishment surpasses the division's previous highest revenue of Rs 119.81 crore, demonstrating its dedication to efficient resource management and revenue generation.

Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair, Saurabh Prasad, emphasized the importance of scrap disposal as a critical activity not only for revenue generation but also for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the premises.

Taking a proactive approach, Waltair Division focused on disposing of released and unused materials efficiently, creating space for better utilization purposes. This initiative was closely monitored at the highest level, ensuring optimal outcomes and contributing to the division's ongoing commitment to excellence.
