Visakhapatnam: Portal to Register New Sainik Schools Reopens

Visakhapatnam: In a significant step towards expanding the network of Sainik Schools across the country, the Ministry of Defence (MoD), through the Sainik School Society, has reopened the registration portal for eligible interested applicant schools.

This initiative is part of the government's ambitious plan to establish 100 new Sainik Schools in partnership mode, aimed at providing quality education and better career opportunities to students while fostering collaboration between state governments, NGOs, and the private sector for nation-building.

The registration portal, accessible at https://sainikschool.ncog.gov.in/ , will remain open for submissions from September 27 to November 25. Schools, trusts, NGOs, and interested parties are encouraged to carefully review the qualitative requirements, memorandum of agreement, and rules and regulations for the new Sainik Schools, all of which can be found on the portal.

It's important to note that schools, NGOs, trusts, and societies that have already registered and applied during the previous rounds need not reapply or pay the registration fee again. However, previously registered applicants have the opportunity to update their information on the portal, including any fresh inputs or changes.

For further clarification or assistance, interested schools can reach out via email to sainikschoolaffiliation@gmail.com

The government's vision behind establishing new Sainik Schools extends beyond providing quality education in alignment with the National Education Policy. It also seeks to create better career opportunities for students and promote collaboration between state governments, NGOs, and the private sector in nation-building efforts.

As a testament to this vision, the Sainik Schools Society has approved 42 private institutions, NGOs, and state government schools as new Sainik Schools. These 42 schools will complement the existing 33 Sainik Schools already operating under the previous pattern.

These newly affiliated schools will operate under the guidance of the Sainik Schools Society and adhere to the rules and regulations governing new Sainik Schools in partnership mode. In addition to their regular curriculum, they will also offer an academic PLUS curriculum, enriching the educational experience for their students.

This initiative marks a significant stride towards empowering the youth of the nation and strengthening India's educational infrastructure.
