Worker Tragically Dies in Pharma Plant Mishap in Andhra Pradesh

VISAKHAPATNAM: In a tragic incident that occurred at Corey Organics Private Limited, a renowned manufacturer and supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), a 35-year-old worker lost his life due to an unfortunate accident within one of the plant's reactors on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as Kintada Raja Rao, a resident of Kannavanipalem in the Chodavaram mandal.

According to information provided by a police officer to TOI (Times of India), the incident unfolded after the reactor had undergone cleaning procedures on Monday.

Mr. Rao was tasked with the responsibility of reassembling the pebbles and other equipment within the reactor. Tragically, while entering the reactor, he slipped and fell inside.

Immediate action was taken, and he was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, Kintada Raja Rao could not be saved and succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment.

This deeply unfortunate incident serves as a sobering reminder of the inherent risks that workers in industrial settings face daily.

The loss of a dedicated employee is not only a personal tragedy for the family but also a poignant reminder of the importance of maintaining stringent safety protocols and ensuring the well-being of all workers within such environments. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the bereaved family during this trying time.
