Visakhapatnam Student Wins 3 Gold Medals at International Swimming Event
K. Sahithi, a student of Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) from the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science branch, has made India proud by winning three gold medals in the 10th International Swimming Competition organized by the Samyukta Bharatiya Khel Foundation (SBKF).
Sahithi delivered an outstanding performance on the global stage, securing gold medals in the 100m backstroke, 50m backstroke, and 50m freestyle events.
Speaking on this remarkable achievement, the college's principal, G. Sudhakar, shared that Sahithi demonstrated exceptional skills at the ‘SBKF 10th International Games 2024 Swimming Competition’ held last month in Singapore and Malaysia.
V. Madhusudhana Rao, the rector of the college, praised Sahithi's success, stating, “Her phenomenal achievement serves as an inspiration not only to aspiring athletes across the country but also to other students.” He encouraged students to take inspiration from Sahithi's dedication and hard work.
The Vice Principal, P.S. Ravindra, along with deans, department heads, faculty members, and students, extended their heartfelt congratulations to Sahithi for her remarkable accomplishment.
