On the occasion of World Wildlife Day which falls on 3rd of March, 2022, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park is going to organize various awareness programs for college students and interested people.

The event named Bio Blitz will be conducted in the premises of Vizag Zoo from 9AM to 11AM on March 3rd.

Participants will be required to identify various animals and plants in the zoo and document them with their cameras.

Drawing competitions with a theme of ‘Wildlife Threat’ will be conducted from 10 AM to 11.30 AM and elocution competition will be conducted on the topic of “Status of Wildlife and need for its Conservation” from 2 PM to 3 PM.

While Bio Blitz program is only for college students, the remaining two programs which are drawing and elocution are for students of all age groups.

The participants will be given certificates for participating in these events and winners will be given prizes. Indira Gandhi Zoological park is also going to organize a coastal cleanup program on March 5th at6 AM in the morning.
