Vizag's New Year rules and regulations that you must be aware of



Special restrictions will be in place to ensure that no mishaps occur as Vizag is ready to celebrate the New Year on a grand scale. The City Police set up parking areas and enforced drone surveillance, keeping in view the gatherings that would take place on the night of December 31st

Here are the guidelines issued by the city police and the restrictions that are in place:              No vehicles will be permitted to travel from Park Hotel to Coastal Battery via RK Beach Road between December 31 at 9 p.m. and January 1 at 5 a.m. The Telugu Talli Flyover and the underpass at the RTC complex will also remain closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for vehicles and pedestrians.                                                                                                                                                                                
The BRTS roads in the city (Pendurthi Junction to Convent Junction via NAD; Hanumanthuwaka to Adavivaram; Goshala Junction to Vepagunta Junction; Maddilapalem to Ramatalkies) will remain closed from 9 p.m. on December 31st to 5 a.m. on January 1st. Emergency vehicles can use the service roads in those lanes.


Instructions for people visiting Beach Road:                                                                                Strict action will be taken in cases of causing inconvenience to visitors, malpractice, or accidents. Any kind of misbehavior with women, whether verbal or physical, will be punishable. Firecrackers and taking dips in beach are prohibited. Drone cameras surveillance will be done along the beach road.                                                                                                                           
From 9 p.m. on December 31st to 5 a.m. on January 1st, no parking will be permitted between Park Hotel Junction and the NTR statue. People visiting Beach Road can park their vehicles at the parking lot next to the Joint Collector's bungalow, APIIC Ground, Gokul Park, and the Andhra University Exhibition Ground behind the police officers' mess. Unauthorized parking will result in vehicle towing and seizure. Cases will be filed against those who ride motorcycles without a helmet and underage driving.      
                                                                                                                                                    Special forces have been deployed to prevent vehicles from speeding, racing, honking horns to create noise, driving on wrong routes, performing stunts with vehicles, triple raiding, driving while using a phone, and drinking and driving. The vehicle will be seized and the accused would be produced before the court in case of drunk and driving.
