Woman from Vizag entered into Mrs India Worldwide finals
It's another feather in the Vizag’s Crown. Yes, an MBA graduate in Finance from Andhra University, Swathi Pala, a mother of two sons, a native of Vizag who is now living in Canada, has entered the finals of the Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide 2022 pageant.
The auditions for Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide’, a personality pageant for Indian married women were organised via an online platform for women between 21 years and 45 years. As a matter of fact, the pageant competition does not have any criterion for height or weight.
Vizag’s beauty Queen Swathi is one of the 90 finalists across India, vying for the prestigious title of Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide 2022. She reached the finals of around 15,000 applicants.
Swati dons many hats. Swati’s creative mind didn’t seem to be satisfied and her quench for more drew her to the television industry, where she worked as a successful creative director. She was hugely appreciated for her women-oriented programmes during the channel’s early days.
Her short film on girl child education Vidya, aired on the eve of Women's Day, was widely appreciated. She also received the Certificate of Excellence for her short film on Swachh Bharat in 2016 from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. Apart from this, she has also garnered a lot of praise for her YouTube channel ‘Perfectly Imperfect by Swathi Pala’. In the channel, she talks about fashion, travel, and ladies’ favourite topic — shopping.
As part of the Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide initiative ‘End Period Poverty, even though she resides miles away from her home country, Swathi is working to bring awareness about menstrual hygiene and the benefits of organic pads in collaboration with schools like Aditya Educational Society, Tanuku, in Andhra Pradesh as well as various schools in Telangana.
Speaking to Hello Vizag she said, “After marriage, it is not the end, but a new beginning with new horizons and it is up to the women to look beyond and rediscover themselves.”
“I was hugely appreciated for my women-oriented programmes on Sakshi TV during the channel’s early days. My short film on girl child education, Vidya, aired on the eve of Women’s Day and was appreciated by everyone. In addition to this, I got a Certificate of Excellence for my two-minute short film on ‘Swachh Bharat’ from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting,” shares Swathi, with a confident simile on her face.
Upon asking how ‘Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide’ came into her plate, Swati proudly says, “It is my husband who motivated me and brought the form for the contest and I just happened to participate. Nevertheless, it’s dream come true for me for getting into finals.”
“Like there is a saying, ‘Behind every successful man there is a woman, but it is the exact opposite for me. I completely owe this credit to my husband for being the person I am now, including my run for the crown. My better half always believed in my capabilities and competency, “ adds Swathi, who also enjoys reading.
With gut feeling and confidence, Swati said marriage is not the end of possibilities, but it rather creates new horizons and it is up to women to look beyond their limits and rediscover their passions. Swati Swathi is one of the 30 finalists from all over the country who will now go to Greece for the competition. As usual, like a woman of substance, I am ready for the challenge,” she concludes confidently.
The participants came from countries like Switzerland, Oman, Dubai, USA, Canada, Germany and Qatar. So far, Haut Monde, through this platform, has provided life-changing opportunities to more than 15,000 women. Some renewed their careers and many started new careers with the confidence and recognition they gathered.
