Yandamuri Veerendranath Set to Pen Chiranjeevi's Autobiography
In an exciting revelation, actor and former Union Minister of State for Tourism, K Chiranjeevi, announced that renowned novelist Yandamuri Veerendranath will be crafting his autobiography.
The announcement was made during the Lok Nayak Foundation awards presentation ceremony held in Visakhapatnam.
Expressing his gratitude, Chiranjeevi remarked on the honor of having Yandamuri Veerendranath as the author of his life story. He also shared his perspective on the enduring legacy of film industry luminaries like Akkineni Nageswara Rao and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.
The mega star conveyed his joy at attending the award presentation, considering it a matter of pride to speak about the remarkable actors who have left an indelible mark on the world of cinema.
The event, held annually by the foundation, marked the 28th death anniversary of legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, NT Rama Rao, and the centenary celebrations of actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. During the ceremony, Chiranjeevi shared his experiences with the legendary actors and presented awards.
Yandamuri Veerendranath received the Lok Nayak Foundation Lifetime Achievement Literary Award, including a cash award of Rs 2 lakh. The foundation chairman, Padma Shri recipient Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, highlighted the contributions of NTR, ANR, and Chiranjeevi to the film industry. A digital presentation showcased glimpses of special moments of the legendary actors and award recipients.
Yandamuri later donated the cash award to prominent service organizations, Abhaya Foundation and Venkateswara Academy. In his address, Yandamuri expressed his happiness at receiving the prestigious award in the presence of several prominent personalities, considering it his second biggest honor.
Other recipients of the Lok Nayak Foundation Lifetime Achievement Awards included Bangalore Telugu Samakhya president Radhakrishnam Raju, psychiatrist I Ramasubba Reddy, and poet Wilson Sudhakar Tullumalli. Special guests at the event included AP High Court Justice Akula Sesha Sai and Narasaraopet MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu.
