Today, a delegation of BJP leaders, including the State President, Mrs. Daggubati Purandeshwari, State General Secretary, Mr. Kashi Viswanatharaju, Vice Presidents, Mr. Vishnukumar Raju, and City President Ravindra Reddy, paid a visit to the Gastroenterology Ward at KGH. Their purpose was to meet with and offer support to patients suffering from Liver Cirrhosis.

Currently, the Gastroenterology Ward is attending to 52 patients, 39 of whom are in critical condition due to health issues related to alcohol consumption, as stated by the medical professionals.

During her visit, Mrs. Purandheswari had an interaction with a patient named Raju, who shared that he had been admitted to the hospital four times this year alone due to the consumption of low-cost liquor. He mentioned that he often indulged in a small bottle worth only 160 rupees.

Despite having a family with three children and his wife's pleas to quit alcohol, he continued to drink.

Mrs. Purandeshwari, concerned about Raju's predicament, advised him to consider quitting the consumption of inexpensive liquor for the sake of his health and family's well-being.

She also engaged with other patients, inquiring about their conditions and the hospital's facilities. Following these interactions, Mrs. Purandeshwari expressed her intention to meet with the National Health Minister once more.

She plans to request the Minister to verify the quality of liquor and advocate for stricter standards to ensure the availability of safe and high-quality liquor.

Mr. Kasi Viswanath Raju, the BJP State General Secretary, was also part of the visit, demonstrating the party's commitment to addressing health concerns and advocating for improved liquor standards.
