Cultural Exchange: 120 Kashmiri Youths Embark on a 6-Day Visit to Vizag
Visakhapatnam: In a heartwarming cultural exchange initiative, approximately 120 young individuals from Kashmir are set to embark on a memorable six-day visit to Visakhapatnam from October 2 to 7.
This visit is part of the Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program, organized by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and is being coordinated by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. District Youth Officer G Maheswara Rao shared this exciting news during a media briefing on Friday.
The participating youth hail from various regions of Kashmir, representing Anantnag, Kupwara, Baramulla, Budgam, Srinagar, and Pulwama districts.
The program's primary objectives are to orient, sensitize, and provide a platform for these young participants to become champions of national unity, integrity, and peace within the Kashmir Valley.
As part of their enriching visit, the Kashmiri youth will have the opportunity to explore various iconic destinations in Visakhapatnam, including Kailasagiri, Simhachalam temple, the submarine museum, and the aircraft museum.
Moreover, they will engage in sessions and seminars focused on skill development, career guidance, and nation-building. Inspirational talks will also be delivered to motivate and inspire the visiting youth.
The program will feature daily cultural programs that allow the participants to showcase their unique cultural heritage. Additionally, a food festival will be organized, providing a delightful culinary exchange experience.
This exchange initiative aims to foster greater understanding and appreciation of tourism, diverse cuisines, cultural traditions, and handicrafts from the Kashmir Valley.
This heartening endeavor not only promotes cultural diversity and mutual respect but also strengthens the bonds of unity and harmony among the nation's youth, transcending geographical boundaries and forging lasting connections.
