GITAM Forges Partnership with Botanic Healthcare to Foster Natural Health Products



Visakhapatnam: In a significant move towards advancing research and development in the healthcare sector, GITAM (Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management) has entered into a promising partnership with Botanic Healthcare Private Ltd.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony took place on Friday, witnessing the exchange of documents between Dean Jagattaran Das from GITAM's School of Pharmacy and H N Shivaprasad, Global Business Development Director at Botanic Healthcare Private Ltd.

The event was graced by the presence of Raja Phani Pappu, Director of Consultancy and Collaborations, and S Raja, Principal of the School of Pharmacy.


During the gathering, Shivaprasad shared insights into Botanic Healthcare's remarkable global presence, spanning regions such as the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Europe, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

He expressed optimism that this MoU between the two organizations would yield innovative healthcare products in the future, further enhancing the healthcare landscape.

Raja Phani Pappu, Director of Consultancy and Collaborations, outlined GITAM's commitment to fostering an intellectually stimulating research environment within its campuses.

The institution has established Multidisciplinary Units of Research on Translational Initiatives (MURTI) labs in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. This initiative underscores GITAM's dedication to promoting research and innovation, exemplified by the active involvement of top-quality experts from various disciplines to catalyze a transformative research culture.

The signing ceremony also saw participation from Som Bhatt Shastri, Deputy Director of Consultancy and Collaborations, and senior faculty members from GITAM's School of Pharmacy.

This collaboration promises to be a catalyst for groundbreaking research and the development of natural healthcare products, ultimately benefitting both institutions and the wider community.
